He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Raines (Threlkil) and Bill Raines; his daughter Betty Jean Raines; and his sisters, Mae, Faye and Valerie.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Raines (Cinda Garlington), Robert Raines, Billy Raines, Patricia Poindexter, Brenda Rush and Shelly Raines. He is also survived by stepchildren; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
