She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Marie (Cryer) and William Winfred Havard; her former husband Joe Nathan Halsell; her son Joe Carl Halsell; her grandchildren, Donald "Bubba" Bonham and Molly Rose Porter; and her siblings, Thelma Havard and Curtis Havard.
She is survived by: her husband Halsell Small Engine Repair; her children, Nelda Porter (Bobby, Jr.) of Diboll, Ellan Bonham (Donnie) of Fuller Springs and Richard Halsell of Fullers Springs; her daughter-in-law Sharon Halsell; and her grandchildren, Joshua Halsell, Mindy Lankford, April Halsell, Jeremiah Halsell, Christina Bonham and Cheyenne Todd. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
