She was predeceased by: her parents, Faustino Garcia and Petra Lopez; her siblings, Angelina, Benita, Jose, Alejandro, Inocencio and Juan; her husband Alfredo T. Gomez; her children, Juan Gomez of Richmond, KY, Guadalupe "Lupe" Aguilar of Lubbock, Alejandro "Alex", Faustino "Fausti" and Mario Joaquin of Lubbock; and her grandchildren, Mario Joaquin Gomez, Jr. of Lubbock and Sydra R. Chavez of Dallas.
She is survived by: her children, Maria Gomez of Lubbock, Sandra Gomez of Grand Prairie, Marisela Gomez of Dallas, Jose Alfredo of Lubbock and David Gomez of Dallas; her sisters, Angela of Mexico City and Maria Elena of Queretaro, Mexico.; and her grandchildren, Anthony Gomez (Abilene), Joey Gomez (Plainview), Jacob Gomez (North Richland Hills), Zander Canales (Hurst), Ezequiel "Zeke" Garcia (Grand Prairie) and Destiny Canales (Grand Prairie). She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
