She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Ruiz and Sara Ruiz (Hernandez). She is survived by: her husband Antonio Vargas; her children, Fabiola Galvan of San Antonio, Juan Medina of Lubbock and Kassandra Acevedo (Joshua) of Lubbock; her grandson E. J. Sala; and her brother Jesus Ruiz of Mexico.
