Brett Cantrell wrote a sympathy message

“I went to Monterey with Tammy. I remember when I was about to walk home. I heard a lovely voice asking me if I wanted a ride home. Oh Wow! The girl behind the voice was Tammy.. It was like Miss Universe asking me for a lift. I said "Yes!" She was driving a Jeep Cherokee With a designer leather jacket with her cheerleader uniform underneath. We had the best 10 minutes of fun conversation and she laughed at my jokes. I last saw her at our 10 year Reunion and she was working for Southwest.”

“I wish I had any words that could possibly help at this time. I have gone through so many memories of you and both sides of the families. I'm so shocked and crushed that this could even happen. I think what I will always remember most besides how beautiful of a person you were, is your voice, you had the kindest, sweetest voice! I just wish I had known my last trip to Lubbock would be the last time I would see you...I would have held on a lot longer!! Love you Tammy!”
