He was predeceased by: his daughter Tege Hart; and his brother Larry Stephenson. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Stephenson of Lubbock, TX; his children, Monty Stephenson of Lubbock, Amy Riley (Van) of Abernathy, Angie Ruder (Brant) of Lubbock and Sterling Taylor (Colleen) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Tainé Sampler (Mike), Shay Weems (Jobin), Tallen Capt (Emily), Lexus Miller (Austin), Samantha Hart, Carson Riley (Kelby), Madison Hall (Eric), Shealen Taylor and Adria Taylor; his brother Gary Stephenson (Sammie) of Abernathy; and his sister-in-law Wanda Stephenson. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Abell Funeral Home - Abernathy (411 16th St, Abernathy, TX 79311). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Abernathy Cemetery (1350 Co Rd 325, Abernathy, TX 79311).
