He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Nitcher and Buena Vista Nitcher; his wife Wilma Emerson; his siblings, Max Nitcher, Carol Shoaf, Mary Lea Wright and Raymond Nitcher; and his daughter-in-law Vicki Nitcher.
He is survived by: his son Randy Nitcher; his grandson Cody (Mindy); his great grandchildren, Violet and Millie; his grandchildren, Casey Nitcher and Coree Everett (Jarrett); his son Rod Nitcher (Tamie); his grandchildren, Kenneth Nitcher, Amber, Matt Unfred, Chelsey and Jobe Danner; his great grandchildren, Baylor Unfred, Reagan Unfred, Bryson Unfred, Palmer and Dash Danner; his son Reggie Nitcher (Lynn); his grandchildren, Amanda, Zach Smith, Lacey, Dillon Dean and Reid Nitcher; his great grandchildren, Nash Smith and Riley Dean; his daughter Robyn Kuiper (Arthur); and his grandchildren, Addie Kuiper, Grace and Collin Montgomery.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Sanders Funeral Home (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bacon Heights Baptist Church (5110 54th St, Lubbock, TX 79414).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bacon Heights Senior Adult Sonshiner Choir, in remembrance of Rowland.
