He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Holmes and Beth Holmes. He is survived by: the mother of his children Carol Frazier Holmes; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Brandon Hughes; his grandchildren, Hannah and Hudson of Lubbock, Texas.; his son Jonathan; his daughter-in-law Brittany Holmes; his grandchildren, Harlan, Henley and Hollis of Fort Worth, Texas.; and his sisters, Ruth (Doug Chadwick), Gretta Curry and Dee Brewer. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
His contributions to the art community were vast, including his many years of service as the Clay Studio Manager at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts and his work at House Bronze, where he enriched the lives of those around him for over five decades.
