He is survived by: his wife Patti Ketron; and his children, Summer of Lubbock, Joni of Lubbock and Jeffery of Lubbock.

" - Alice Griminger View Sign Lubbock- Rickey Ketron, 63 of Lubbock, joined his Savior, loved ones, and many friends at his eternal home in Heaven on August 16th, 2018. Waiting on this earth to join him there are his wife Patti Ketron, daughters Summer and Joni of Lubbock, son Jeffery of Lubbock, and daughter Camille of Austin. Also left behind are his brother Allan Ketron and wife Kina, his dear nieces Amber and daughter Nadia, and Kayla, husband Rex, daughter Payton and son RJ, nephew Derek and daughters Jocelyn and Emma of Haltom City, brother Larry Ketron of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his beloved father and mother-in-law Pat and Joan Yoakum of Lubbock, his brother-in-law Roger and very special nephew Patrick Yoakum of Canyon, and his other mother Joni Rose of Lubbock. Rickey was born to Bob and El Wanda Ketron August 27, 1954 and was reunited with them in Heaven. Rickey earned his Bachelors degree from Texas Tech University in Business Management and Psychology. He was licensed to preach the gospel as he may have opportunity, and to exercise his gifts in the work of the ministry at Bacon Heights Baptist Church in July of 1973. He served as Pastor at Berry Flat Baptist Church until he was called to be the Youth Minister at Southcrest Baptist Church. He later served as Interim Pastor at Shadow Hills Baptist Church. He was proud to be a multi-generational paint contractor. Rickey's loving and giving heart and his friendship to so many will be remembered and treasured forever. Visitation with Rickey's family will be from 4:30 to 5:30 followed by the Celebration of Life at 5:30 on Tuesday August 21, 2018; both to be held at Turning Point Community Church at 11202 Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, Texas.
