He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Renteria and Josefina Renteria; and his sisters, Martha Young and Rita Palomo. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Renteria of Lubbock; his children, Richard Renteria of Coleman, Michael Smith of Lubbock, Roxanna Renteria of Lubbock, Rosemary Renteria of Lubbock, Amanda Smith of Lubbock and Rebecca Renteria of Lubbock; and his brother John Renteria of Lubbock. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
