Richard Petty Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2024, at the age of 86, Richard Petty (Lubbock, Texas), born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, R. M. Petty (Pat) and Jennie Petty; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Pershall and Dale Paul. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean; his son Tony; his granddaughter Brittney Pasaribu (Tim); his great grandchild Chistinana Rose; and his siblings, Margaret Pershall, JoAnne Paul and David (Joann Petty).

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
