Oreta Fay Mead Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oreta Fay Mead of Lubbock, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dee Baker and Ruth Baker; her husband James; and her brothers, Durrell and Kenneth Baker.
She is survived by: her children, David (Anita), Wendell (Tanis) and Janet Jameson (Lynn) of Lubbock; and her siblings, Morgan Baker of Lubbock, Von Simpson of Matador, Thelma Boedecker of Plainview and Mary Marshall of Matador. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Agape Funeral Chapel (6625 19th St #103, Lubbock, TX 79407). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Khiva Shrine Patient Transportation Fund.
