She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Newby and Alice Hardy Newby; her husband B. K.; her son Dean Jenkins; her grandson Corey Huskey; and her brother Dr. Marvin Newby.
She is survived by: her daughter Joan Huskey (Jamey); her grandson Austin Huskey (Destiny); her great grandchildren, Reed Huskey and Korey Huskey; and her nieces and nephews, Beth, Bill, Merrie, Melinda and David.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sanders Funeral Home (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (1555 Co Rd 13, Tulia, TX 79088).
The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army; Hospice of the South Plains.
