It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marsha Carol Cox Owens of Lubbock, Texas, born in Seminole, Texas, who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Marvin Cox and Velma Chasarho Garrett Cox; and her husband Johnny Monroe Owens. She is survived by: her children, Lance Owens and Leah Owens-Toney; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Wesley, Wylee Toney and Tanner Owens; her sisters, Paula Ann Cox McDermett and Aniece Cox Zweig (Scott); and her pet Danni. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel (920 Hwy 62-82, Wolfforth, TX 79382). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Peaceful Garden Memorial Park (15602 Loop 493, Lubbock, TX 79423).
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Haven Animal Shelter at havenacs.org or by mail 4501 N. FM 1729, Lubbock, TX 79403, which Marsha was passionate about helping all animals.
