Though Julia Marie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julian Cecil Flournoy and Helen Iry Perry Flournoy; her sisters, Lou Ann Flournoy Barnhart of Canyon and Sue Jan Flournoy; her sons, Cameron L. Saffell of Lubbock and Justin A. Saffell (Mary); and her grandchildren, Isabelle and Andrew.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sanders Memorial Chapel (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Southwest Collection for the preservation of historical books and documents.
