She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Olguin and Bicenta Sauceda Olguin (Joe Chavez); and her siblings, Maria Olguin, Rosa Soliz, Domingo Olguin, Tomas Olguin, Jose Olguin, Jesus Olguin and Ramon Olguin.
She is survived by: her sons, David Chavez (Cindy) and Abel Chavez (Alma); her granddaughters, Meaghan Chavez, Hannah Chavez, Aiyanah Chavez and Emma Jo Chavez; and her siblings, Juan Olguin, Luis Olguin Jr., Ursula Mojica and Carolina Marinez. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Guajardo Funeral Chapels (407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (102 N Avenue P, Lubbock, TX 79401).
