It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lucero (Lubbock, Texas), born in Roswell, New Mexico, who passed away on December 16, 2018, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Sandra Vale; his nieces, Angel and Savannah Vale; his grandson Leroy Madrid; and his aunts, Mary Polaco, Prestina, Tina and Malena.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph S. Lucero and Amelia Herrera Lucero; his wife Debbie Lucero; his children, Marissa Lucero (Matthew Romero) of Roswell, Annalysia Lucero (Jaime Aguilar) of Roswell, Merissa Ortega of Roswell, Alicia Lopez of Roswell, Krystal Ortega (Javier Madrid) of Roswell and Andrew Cobos of Roswell; his sister Patsy Lucero of Roswell; and his grandchildren, Aubryana, Marciano Madrid, Adalyn, Aria Lucero, Sophia Cobos and Yandel Romero.
