He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fortenberry and Alice Jo Fortenberry (Fain); and his brother Delton Fortenberry of Lubbock. He is survived by: his daughter Mandi Fortenberry of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Quade of Lubbock, Preslee of Lubbock, Raelee of Lubbock and Kyson of Lubbock; his sister Rhonda Zara (Todd) of Willow Park; his nephew Joshua Zara; his nieces, Ashley Zara (Allyson) and Lindsey Zara; his great-nephews, Everett Zara and Owen Zara; and his nephews, Cory and Brandon Fortenberry of Ithaca.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Combest Family Memorial Chapel (2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Levelland Cemetery (1500 Ave H, Levelland, TX 79336).
