She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Herrera and Julia Herrera (Martinez); and her brothers, Juan Herrera, Narcico Herrera and Antonio Herrera.
She is survived by: her husband Jose Nunez; her children, Javier Nunez (Ellana), Manuel Nunez (Sylvia), Ismael Nunez, Yolanda, Humberto Nunez (Elida), Martin Nunez (Teresa), Teresa Zapata (Mitilde), Lucia Guerra, Felipe Nunez (Lucia), Juan Nunez (Alicia), Refugio Nunez (Chayo), Maria Gomez (Ramero), Julia Nunez (Fernando Vasquez), Jose Nunez (Eliana) and Ricardo Nunez (Angelica); her sister Elvida Terrones; and her half-siblings, Pascual and Lupe Herrera. She is also survived by 52 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 2 great -great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the House of Angels Funeral Home (1928 34th St, Lubbock, TX 79411). A rosary was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church (908 Avenue J, Shallowater, TX 79363).
