He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ewell Willis and Francis Hodnett (Willis); his wife Judy Hodnett of Lubbock; his children, Dr. Frank Hodnett (Dalene) of Casper, WY, Dr. John Hodnett (Carrie) of Lubbock, Kristy Astwood (John) of Lubbock and Tim Hodnett (Samantha) of Somerville, TX; his grandchildren, Wil Hodnett, Emily Hodnett, Anne Hodnett, Grady Hodnett, Emilee Hodnett, Cayden Hodnett, McKinlee Hodnett, Chris Astwood (Kaylee), Colton Astwood (Addie), Conner Astwood (Ashton), Nicole Baier, Janae Thompson and Amethyst Baier; and his sister Ruth Ann Mewborn of Golden, CO.. He was also cherished by 4 great grandsons.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the LifePoint Baptist Church (1102 Slide Rd # 3, Lubbock, TX 79416). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery (5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407).
