Evelyn Irwin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2024, at the age of 87, Evelyn Irwin of Lubbock, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Turner and Valree Turner; her siblings, Lorretta (Leroy), Robert "Shorty" (Louise), Doyle, Delmar "Bud" (Vi) and Elton; her grandson Justen Vogel; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Irwin and Luella Slack.
She is survived by: her siblings, Margie Young (Travis) and Dorman; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Turner and Sandra Turner; her children, Kimberley Vogel (Don), Shelli Johnson (James), Patrick Irwin (Darlene) and Michael Irwin (Tammy); her grandchildren, Colby (Bonnie), Courtney, Beau, Matthew (Lindsey), Tyler (Nichole), Katherine, Jordan, Jacob, Jason (Hartlee), Reili (Evan) and Valree (Calvin); her great grandchildren, Sophia, Hudson, Jaxon, Jace, Brodi, Jack, Ella, Camilla, Samson and Whit; and her in-laws, Herbert, Sue Irwin and Jane Irwin. She is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floydada Cemetery (Floydada, TX 79235).
They are a wonderful resource for people with Dementia/Alzheimer's, and their families. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Treasured Times, First United Methodist Church, found online at fumc.com (online donations or contact information), Garrison Institute on Aging, online at ttuhsc.edu/centers-institutes/garrison-aging. These donations will insure the perpetuation of these programs in support of people with Dementia/Alzheimer's and their families.
