He was predeceased by: his mother Eula Mae Sherrod (McCain) of Brownfield, TX.; and his brother Dan Sherrod. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sherrod; his sister Karen Sherrod of Corpus Christi, TX; his children, LaRhonda (Steve Bailey) and Ronny (Ann Wright); and his grandchildren, Bryce Bailey, Stephanie Jesko (Kayle), Brooke DeFoor (Kolter), Seth Bailey (Jordyn), Josiah Wright, Benjamin Wright, Gabriel Wright, Abigail Wright and Zachariah Wright (Katherine).
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Grady Cemetery. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Church (7002 Canton Ave, Lubbock, TX 79413).
