He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Harris Carmichael and Mary Lois Carmichael (White); his spouse Jaquita Faye Carmichael; his sons, Michael Terrell Carmichael (Kelly), Jason Floyd Carmichael (Jackie) and John Britt Carmichael (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Austin Faeth (Megan), Carter Faeth, Crosby Carmichael, Jakon Carmichael, Hunter Carmichael, Tessa Carmichael, Aidan Carmichael, Calum Carmichael, Kolton Carmichael and Zoe Carmichael; his great grandchildren, Damian Carmichael, Maisie Faeth and Millie Faeth; his adoptive children, Bobby, Gina Stockman, Leslie, Becky Stockman, Cody, Kandice, Bryce and Erin Stockman; his siblings, Jerry Harris Carmichael, Alton Arch Carmichael and Amelia Ann Liddell (Carmichael); his sisters-in-law, Anna Jean Carmichael and Neysa Carmichael; his parents-in-law, Doris Jonas and Floyd Jonas; and also, Emilee, Jaimee, Kyirsten, Cayla, Peyton, Slyder, Stetsyn, Hadley and Braxton. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home (2202 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (1911 34th St, Lubbock, TX 79411).
In lieu of flowers, the family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Carmichael's devoted caregivers, for their compassionate care.
