He was predeceased by: his former wife Kathryn Lundberg; his son Allen Powell; his brother Thomas Adams (Tommy); and his mother W. T. Adams of Lubbock. He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, Mary Jan Beakley (John), Karen Jo Matsler (Jimmy), Richard Adams (Elisa) and Nancy Pfeil (Tom).
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders Funeral Home (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lubbock Cemetery (2011 E 31st St, Lubbock, TX 79404). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford Memorial Chapel-First Baptist Church (2201 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401).
