He is survived by: his child Thomas Dale (Megan Spence) of Brownfield; his wife Susan of Lubbock; his children, Gregory Spence (Andrew Thornhill) of Baton Rouge and Teresa Spence of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Braeden (Michaela Spence) of Seminole, Sydni Spence (Cory Jellison) of San Angelo, Kathryn, Robert Brightbill of Lubbock, Trevor Brightbill of Abernathy, Alexis Fraley, Hailey Fraley and Zaiyre Estrada of Brownfield; and his siblings, Patricia Ferrell of Oklahoma City and Ronnie Spence of Seminole. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Agape Funeral Chapel (6625 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407).
