He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Joshua Caraway and Patsy Lillie Caraway (Richardson); his spouse Carmen Welfl; and his sister Dora Mae Rector. He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Sherer (Rusty) and Kathleen Kelley (David) of Bellbrook, Ohio; his brother-in-law Travis Rector of Lubbock; his niece Kelly Hillis of Lubbock; his nephew Todd Rector of Lubbock; his grandsons, Scott Kelley, Brandon Kelley, Trevor Sherer and Caleb Sherer; and his great grandchildren, Palmer Sherer, Reese Sherer and Ellis Sherer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home (2202 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401).
