Ayden Warren Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ayden Warren Smith (Lubbock, Texas), born in Charleston AFB, South Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 2, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ayden Warren Smith to pay them a last tribute.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7th 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Restoration Church (107 Fish Creek Thoroughfare, Montgomery, Texas 77316).

It is said that nothing good ever happens after midnight. For the most part that is reasonable, solid advice for many in the world. However, On April 2 2020 at 7 minutes after midnight, something wonderful happened, Ayden Warren Smith came into our world.

A beautiful little boy born with bright reddish blonde hair and a love for being cuddled.

Sometimes good things do happen after midnight after all.

Brand new eyes see the world much differently than we see it. Everything is new, everything must be explored. His curiosity sometimes lead his parents into believing that he was mischievous, which as he became a toddler was apparent when he was because of his tell-tell sign of mischief. A smile paired with a laugh and a playful glint in his eye.

To his sister, Rory, he was her friend and playmate. The two were each other’s closest confidant, and source of comfort. Often both playing with one another, and getting caught in mischief together.

To his mother, he was her warmth and peace at the end of the day. No matter how hard a day was, he was always there to give her a hug and cuddles, along with a “fishy kiss” to ensure that she was happy.

To his father, he was his joy and contentment. Whether it was helping his father cook in the kitchen by taste testing everything, or cleaning up or fixing things around the house. He was always happy to help everyone.

To those who did not have a chance to know Ayden well, I can say this, he would have loved to know you. I believe you would have as well. There are some people we meet in our life that instantly brighten our day with happiness. Ayden was one of those special few.

So special, kind, and loving that he could not stay here with us all. On November 30th early morning, in his sleep, Ayden passed on towards the heavens. Now he watches over his family as their little angel.

It is said that time heals all wounds, especially for the heart. As we saw earlier, there are always exceptions to any advice. The pain of loss never truly leaves, because the love we have for them never fades.

“There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief”, a quote from Aeschylus the father of Greek tragedy.
Although it may be difficult, let us today celebrate the joy that Ayden Warren Smith brought to everyone and to keep the memory of him in our hearts.
