With heavy hearts, we announce the death of AlmaRuth Schaap of Lubbock, Texas, who passed away on April 18, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Caldwell and Eula Estel Patterson (Rhodes); and her siblings, R. C., Melvin, Lewis Patterson, Erma May Spruiell and Lorene Wright.

She is survived by: her husband Louis Schaap of Lubbock; her stepsons, Craig Schaap (Nancy) of Owasso, OK, Steve Schaap (Peggie) of Amarillo, TX, Jeff Schaap (Jennifer) of Abernathy, Dan Schaap of Amarillo and Rick Schaap (Liz) of Plano, TX; and her brother Vester Patterson (Rose) of Arlington, TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
