He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Hidalgo and Aurora Hidalgo; his wife Rosa Hidalgo; his son Jesus Hidalgo; and his siblings, Manuel, Edubiges, Faustino, Maria, Guadalupe and Soccaro Hidalgo-Armendariz.
He is survived by: his children, Emma Montes of Louise, Sergio Hidalgo of Van Vleck and Alberto Hidalgo of El Campo; and his siblings, Soledad and Miguel Hidalgo-Armendariz. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
