She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston McAlpine and Bettie Joiner McAlpine; her husband Edwin "Bill" Westerman; her daughter Nelda Frances Lackey; and her siblings, Ottis McAlpine, Verdell "Sonny Boy" McAlpine, Baby Boy McAlpine, Jewel Agnus McAlpine, Merdell Triggs, Beatrice Taylor, Alma Ruth Solomon and Rheta Roice Hughes.

She is survived by: her children, Dwight Westerman of Lott, Judy Fabri of St. Augustine and Edith Lackey of Lott. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
