She was predeceased by: her parents, Zenon Garcia and Concepcion Garcia Valdez; her husband Juan E. Sanchez; and her siblings, Luis, Zenon Garcia, Juanita Balli and Lala Torres Newman.

She is survived by: her children, Leonel Sanchez, Gilbert (Lydia), Jaime Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez (Linda), Dora Avila and Melva Martinez (Frank). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
