He is survived by: his children, José Buendía, Gabina Saldana, Paula Reid (Edward), Rey Buendía and Delia Leal (Luis); and his stepchildren, Oscar Almeida, Cindy Sifuentes (Ivan) and Gerardo Almeida (Liana). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A prayer was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
