He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Caballero and Rebecca Caballero (Ruiz); and his sons, Jesse Caballero, Jr. and Donny Caballero. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Caballero of Lorenzo; his children, Rosemary Caballero of Edinburg, Ricky Caballero (Agatha) of Lubbock, Benny Caballero (Sandra) of Lubbock, Mark Caballero (Edna) of Lubbock, Joe Caballero of Lorenzo, Isaac Caballero of Gentry and Victoria Caballero of Lorenzo; and his siblings, Raul Caballero, David Caballero, Samuel Caballero and Marie Caballero. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
