It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Helmick in Lorena, Texas, born in Bruceville, Texas, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lee and Nellie Delilah Mayfield; her husband Billy Roger Helmick; and her daughter Donna Lynn Atkinson. She is survived by: her cousins, Donald Earl Hurst and James Earl Hurst (Pete) of Richardson, Texas; her son Thomas Craig Helmick (Jill Elaine Helmick); her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Helmick; her daughter Elizabeth Diane Helmick Heppel; her grandchild Andrea Elizabeth Heppel Christian; her grandson-in-law Andrew Christian; her son Noah Mathew Christion; her grandchildren, Misty Delilah Anderson Gregory and Christopher Paul Atkinson; and also, Kylie Brielle Christian, James Evan Heppel (Heather KeRaye Hudson) and Koger Elizabeth Heppel.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lorena Cemetery.
