“Jim, I was very sorry to hear about Christine's passing. I know there's nothing worth saying when something like this happens, and I've always found it condescending to lighten the death of the departed by saying something like "she's in a better place," when the reality is that she has a husband and children that are left to mourn her, and trying to soften the blow is a bit pointless. So all I can really say is that this is a tragedy and we're thinking about you, and I'm hoping the months ahead are not as hard on you as perhaps you fear they will be, and that you find some comfort as you move forward. I also hope that you take solace in knowing that we are thinking about you and wishing you well. Topher & Catie”
