Wanda Ellis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Ellis of Longview, Texas, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Wanda had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Wanda may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Oliver Smart and Hattie Jane Coburn Smart; her children, Sheri Ellis Houston and Charles Ellis; and the father of her children Marvin Ellis.

She is survived by: her son Wayne Smart; her grandson Hardy Houston, Sr.; and her great grandchildren, Nicolette Houston of Conroe and Hardy Houston, Jr. of Conroe.

She also was recognized by two blood banks for donating over 50 gallons of blood and platelets.
