Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wanda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen J. C. King and Dorothy Lucille Crowe-King; and her husband Charles Akin. She is survived by: her daughter Kerri Jahr; her son-in-law Mike Jahr; her son Kelly Akin; her grandsons, Leighton Jahr (Kelsi) and Kaden Akin; her great grandchildren, Maelyn Jahr and Jameson Jahr; and her sister Margie Thomas.
Viewing was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (1782 US-259, Diana, TX 75640). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Walnut Creek Cemetery.
