He was predeceased by: his parents, Hosea Louis Hoopingarner and Lena Edna Chapman; and his siblings, Earl, Hosea, Toni and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Boswell; his children, Deborah Inabnit (Delbert), David Hoopingarner (Dawn), Linda Weybright (Doug), Pamela Reece (Roger), Richard Hoopingarner (Sherri) and Phyllis Jolliff (David); and his brother Bruce. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
