He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith; his son Phillip Rudd Sr.; his brother Willie Ray Geter; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Brandon, Robdrick, Phillip Jr., Frederick Jr., Sheddrick, DaMarkus, Jerome, MaRiesha, KaJaria, Jennifer and Shamanique Anthony. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Craig Funeral Home (2001 S Green St, Longview, TX 75602). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Horizon Church of God (1305 Jenny St, Longview, TX 75604).

“To the Rudd family; I send you my deepest sympathy. Oliver was a friend that I will never forget. When Eldon and I did not have the words to pray for my healing, Oliver did. Oliver came to the Shreveport Hospital with Eldon, and he laid hands on me, and I felt an instant change in my body. I was healed instantly. No longer was I suffering from an aneurysm in my brain that was expected to take my life. Oliver's faith, his friendship and kindness will be forever remembered. We love you all.”
