With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marian Joyce Hargis (Longview, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Tarpley and Norma Tarpley; her sister Bonnie Taylor; and her grandson Clayton Hargis. She is survived by: her husband Theral Hargis; her son Brent Hargis (Melinda) of Longview, TX; her grandchildren, Alli Sandlin (Adam) of Denton, TX, Caroline Crider (Jesse) of Austin, TX and Zach Hargis of Longview; her great grandchildren, Lydia and Judah Sandlin; her sister Carol Honea of DeQueen, AR; and her brother-in-law Jerry Taylor of Mena, AR. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

“I have cleaned the home of Mr. And Mrs. Hargis for 4 years. During that time, I came to love them both. I would always have much conversation with them both before cleaning. Those conversations blessed me beyond words. One time, I told Mrs. Joyce that when I looked into her eyes it made me think of Jesus. Her eyes were a beautiful blue and they glistened. She was so very kind to me. I'm sure going to miss her. Thankful the Lord allowed me the opportunity to know her ❤️ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18”
