Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jewel Whitehurst (Longview, Texas), born in Harleton, Texas, who passed away at the age of 89, on May 23, 2018. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lafayette and Maudie Laural McBride; her husband Davis; her half-brother Leon Reed; her sister-in-law Mamie Reed; her stepsister Dorothy; her great grandchild Bryan Lane; her nieces, Elaine Janie Nix (Reed), Denise Whitehurst Powers and Bruce Whitehurst; and also, Mary McBride, Billy McBride, Isabel Gentry, Dewitt, Evelyn, Meltry, Judy Whitehurst and Roy Whitehurst.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Evelyn Whitehurst; her stepbrother Bennie Hicks; her sister-in-law Joyce McBride; her children-in-law, Davis Whitehurst, Dianne Whitehurst, Michael Whitehurst, Sharon Whitehurst and Ron Blair; her daughter Cynthia Blair (Whitehurst); and her grandson Randy Ortega. She is also survived by 21 great- grandchildren, along with many loved nephews and nieces.
