It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Albert Maddox in Longview, Texas, born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his sister Ann West of Alamogordo; his children, Dianne Flarity (Bubba) of White Oak, James Maddox of Longview and Phil Maddox of East Mountain; his grandsons, Brandon Flarity of White Oak and Jonathan Flarity (Kilgore); and his nieces and nephews, Robert Maddox (Peaches) of Georgetown, Bruce Maddox (Pat) of Ogden, Bob Waldrop (Patrica) of New Braunfels, Darrell Pruitt (Carolyn) of Hallsville, Don Pruitt (Rose Pruitt) of Hallsville, Libby Wyatt (Tony) of Marshall, LuAnn Maddox McCasland (Dave) of Colorado Springs, Mary Waldrop Morales (late Richard) of Liberty Hill, Mechele Kapsner of Rockwall, Nell Oliver and Kim Conner of Waco. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
