We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 81, Edison Franklin Sr. of Longview, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Franklin and Sudie Alexander Franklin; and his siblings, Cecil Bookings, Ollie Lee Jr., Jeff, Irma Alexander and Mary Sue Wilkins.
He is survived by: his wife Orene Franklin; his son Edison Franklin Jr.; and his sister Vera Nelson of Longview. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rosewood Memorial Funeral Home (1601 Redmon Rd, Longview, TX 75602). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
