It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Verlene Smith (Long Branch, Texas), born in Panola, Texas, who passed away on December 10, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, R. H. Atkerson, Marvin Atkerson, Janie Ruth Ballwebber and Ovvie Nell Robinson. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Gallegos of Houston and Richard Smith of Long Branch; and her grandchildren, Brandon Gallegos, Sloane Gallegos, Bryan Smith, James Smith and Patricia Clevenger. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
