He is survived by: his wife Barbara Blanchard of Long Branch; his daughters, Teresa Barber (Michael) of Carthage, Tammy Heston (Matt) of Carthage and Sheila Whitaker (Russell) of Fairplay; his sisters, Rachel Sherrill of Gideom, MO and Margie Langley of Malden, MO; his grandchildren, Sabra Edman (Donald), Brandy Dudley (Lee), Dustin Freeman (Mandy), Cody Whitaker (Leah), J. C. Whitaker (Ashley) and Cassidi McGuire (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Danika Edman, Noel Edman, Donald Edman, II, Baylor Hortman, Dale Edman, Allie Kelley, Abbie Freeman, Cobyn Whitaker, Karter Jo Dudley, Charlie Rae McGuire, Harper Dudley, John Ryan Whitaker, Kyson and Kyler Whitaker.
