She was predeceased by: her parents, Weldon A. Coston and Linnie Rainey Coston; her husband Martin Lee; her son Marty Epps; and her brother Travis Coston of Paris.
She is survived by: her son Christopher Epps of Dallas, Texas; her grandsons, Isaac and Isaiah Epps of Denton; her sister Beverly Rodgers; her sister-in-law Jean Coston of Paris; her nieces, Dana Rodgers Willoughby (Rob), Nikki Rodgers Ragsdale (Jon), Gency Coston Fortenberry (Mike) and Trava Coston Drake (Richard); her nephew Bubba Coston (Susan); her sister-in-law Doris Quinn (Mike) of Irving; her nieces, Deanna Schneider of Denver and Karen Sue Durst (Dave) of Reno; her nephew Richard Epps of Amarillo, Texas.; and also, Jack Graham, Day and Sheri Lynn Chester-Epps of Denton, Texas..
A private family service will be held in the future, and in lieu of flowers, Melba would ask that "folks remove the silly masks, get the kids back in school, and stop allowing others to sow division in her beloved American family.".
