He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Layman and Helen Layman; his wife Marilyn Caldwell; his children, Gerald Layman of Waxahachie, Mark Layman of Cleburne, Michael Layman of Houston, Charles Layman of Oak Point, Sandra Lieck of Irving, Katrina Layman of Irving and Susan Turner of Waxahachie; and his stepdaughter Analyn Bitor. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
