With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Oakes (Lone Oak, Texas), born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on June 12, 2018 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Bettye Jo; his stepfather Richard Jones; and his brother-in-law James Gardner. He is survived by: his father Boyce Oakes of Luling; his stepmother Millie Oakes of Luling; his daughters, Sarah Jo DePirro of South Carolina and Allison Welch of Tallahassee; his brother Randy Oakes of Lone Oak; his stepbrother David Jones of Haltom City; his sisters, Susie Jackson of Fort Worth, Terri Rictor, Jess Rictor of Virginia Beach, Penny Gardener of Elgin and Carla Saunders of Luling; his stepsister Jeanne Franklin of Fort Worth; and also, Elvera Oakes of Lone Oak and Celia Jones of Haltom City. He is also survived by four granddaughters and two grandsons.
