He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Ray Sorrell and Johnnie Lambert Sorrell; his sister Betty Jean Ellis; and his son Kevin Ray Sorrell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brents Sorrell; his daughter Patricia Sorrell Allen (Orion Allen); his siblings, Frances Ann Sorrell, Carolyn Mae Sekula (Elvin Sekula) and Charles Sorrell; and his brother-in-law Jim Ellis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
