It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Holmes Jr. (Lolita, Texas), born in Longstreet, Louisiana, who passed away on July 5, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Blanton Holmes, Sr. and Nelwyn Yarbrough; his wife Jean Litton Holmes; and his sister Dorothy "Dot" Blankenship. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Saunders (Randy) of Katy and Jan McClanahan (Joe) of Edna, Texas; and his grandchildren, Judy McClanahan Paulette, Ryan Saunders and Matthew Saunders. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in William's name may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
